Responsibilities

* Candidate will be the Contracts focal for merger/acquisition and strategic initiatives for business growth
* The selected candidate will review, edit, draft and negotiate contracts associated with merger and acquisition initiatives.
* Collaborate to ensure full input and buy-in from Program and functional focals, addressing their concerns through contracting.
* Responsible for entire life cycle of assigned commercial contracts/ agreements which include preparation of contract/agreement documents, proposals, terms risk assessments, pricing review and approval, fact finding and audit support, negotiations, administration, reconciliations and closeout.
* Candidate will be working in a team environment, interact with multiple disciplines and multiple levels of leadership, provide contractual guidance, establish effective long-term customer relationships, meet commitments to ensure customer satisfaction and incorporate contractual process continuous improvement projects.
* Candidate must be flexible and able to balance priorities within multiple programs.
* As a Level 4, the successful candidate will also provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced contract specialists and administrators in the department.

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree
* 5+ Years of experience of contracts and negotiations or equivalent experience
* Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, negotiations, drafting, administration and closeout
* Ability to identify, assess and recommend mitigation for commercial risk inherent in a contract and present same to leadership
* Strong oral, written, presentation and negotiation skills; ability to create and deliver concise, impactful presentations at all levels of the organization (manager through CEO)
* Ability to coach others, and lead regardless of position or reporting relationship
* Proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units and geographical regions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Ability to travel, as required

Preferred:

* Masters Degree or JD Degree
* Strong financial and business acumen; familiarity with accounting principles as they relate to contracting a plus
* Experience supporting mergers/acquisition efforts is desired
* Experience working in Aerospace in support of production programs is a plus
