Manager, PGIM Sales Desk

PGIM Investments is currently seeking a highly motivated sales leader to join its fast-paced, industry-leading sales desk management team. The ideal candidate is a person who thrives in a vibrant, constantly changing environment, possesses an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset as well as a proven track record of success in talent development. As a Manager of Internal Sales in the Newark, NJ home office, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and success of the PGIM Internal sales desk, supporting the Western Wirehouse Division.

In this role, you will:

Lead the coaching, development and training of a team of 12 internal sales professionals
Build, promote and sustain an engaging workplace culture within your team and across the Sales Desk that inspires productivity and excellence
Create and implement Internal Sales Desk strategies, initiatives and projects in collaboration with external Divisional Sales Managers and the internal senior sales leadership team
Represent and lead Sales on various project committees and Prudential programs
Collaborate with Divisional Sales Manager in order to coordinate with External Wholesalers efforts and drive timely execution and consistency of sales and marketing campaigns
Anticipate, plan and maintain appropriate staff levels to meet the sales need of the company
Implement best-practice sales techniques and leverage the performance management process to continuously enhance the quality, productivity and efficiency of the sales team
Responsible for managing and leading the sales team through organizational change
Gain experience working with a wide range of business areas within the Prudential organization collaborating with intelligent, like-minded people who are experts in their fields

Qualifications:

* Demonstrated experience managing a team of employees with a track record of success in talent development and coaching including attracting new employees as well as retaining high-performing team members
* Sales experience with a proven track record of success
* Leadership experience required
* Passion for talent development and coaching, including an ability to attract fresh, outside candidates while cultivating and nurturing internal resources
* Proven understanding of consultative sales approach and a broad knowledge of the financial services industry
* Be a change agent by employing strategic, forward-looking thought leadership that results in constant process improvement and creative, innovative solutions to problems
* Knack for motivating individuals while driving toward common team goals
* Ability to integrate Sales and other Prudential business units to build high-performing, cross-functional teams
* FINRA Series 7 required
* FINRA 63 (or 66) required
* FINRA 24 license required or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
* State Life and Health license required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
* Bachelors degree and advanced education (MBA, CFP) highly preferred
