The primary responsibility of the Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician is to perform tasks associated with the assembly, installation, set-up, and commissioning of process equipment used in semi and fully automated Thermal Spray systems. The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing process equipment, including robotics, mechanical processes, and electronics.
Must have a high degree of professionalism and ability to perform tasks safely at a work site.
Must have experience and working knowledge pertaining to the installation and start-up of industrial equipment
Responsible for daily work progress and job site safety
Performs startup, testing and commissioning of equipment installations (Thermal Spray Machines)
Demonstrate proper use of equipment to end user.
Works with Engineering and Product Managers to provide feedback and practical knowledge on installation with respect to company products to develop best practices. Includes testing and troubleshooting of new designs.
Electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls experience
PLC and/or industrial robot operation and troubleshooting experience a plus
Qualifications
EDUCATION
2-year technical degree, Engineering or minimum 2-3 years equivalent formal related training required
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience installing and starting-up industrial equipment
Ability to troubleshoot process equipment (Electrical and Mechanical)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, 75% travel
Proven ability to safely manage works sites
Knowledge and experience with industrial safety standards and codes
Experience managing daily activities in the field with minimal supervision
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, including wiring and plumbing schematics
