Job Description:
The MarketWatch product team is looking for a senior engineer who will act as a lead developer in building subscription experiments and the underlying experimentation infrastructure to optimize Marketwatchs new subscription business. With an emphasis on performance and repeatability, your role will be to help implement the best software strategies to build and launch A/B & multivariate experiments related to the Marketwatch subscription journey.
As a part of the MarketWatch team, you will work collaboratively with other engineers and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment to hit critical project timelines. Youll be able to showcase your talents as a self-starter that can prioritize and manage your own workload while working independently and with a broader team.
Skills & Experience:
* 3-5 years total experience in Software Engineering, preferably in web application development
* .NET Core and ASP.NET Core
* C
* React
* Node.js
* ASP.NET Web API
* Experience with cloud computing via AWS or another cloud provider
* Understanding of microservices or service-oriented architecture
* Experience with Agile Development methodologies (SCRUM)
* Proven ability to analyze, decompose and estimate effort associated with various technical solutions
Preferred Tools/Skills:
* Terraform, CloudFormation or other infrastructure as code solution
* Docker, Elastic Beanstalk or other cloud or container based application deployment
* CSS knowledge - Grid, Flexbox, etc.
* Experience with Webpack
* Knowledge of ES6
* Knowledge of basic design and UX principles
