Job Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts. Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs. Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. May work with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

* Managing, Lead and Coach SBMs and Buyers
* Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability. Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection
* Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies
* Drive the improvement of the suppliers manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery
* Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier engineers
* Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in new products parts design using the suppliers expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability
* Knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related; Master or MBA, preferred
* Excellent leadership skills
* Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
* Solid analytical skills
* Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and processes
* Exrience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development with suppliers
* Experience in capacity planning, cost reduction approaches and lead time reduction
* Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts. Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and business processes
* Understanding of Lean principles and Manufacturing 4.0
* Experience with working with global suppliers
* Ability to travel domestic and international. ~25% travel time could be required
