Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, for the Ecommerce team at John Deere you will design, build and deliver software solutions to help John Deere significantly grow and protect market share in the After Market Parts, Services, Subscriptions and Consumer Whole Goods spaces through an Extreme focus on our customers and fast feedback via delivery of thin slices of value via functioning software. In addition, you will:

* Operate within a full stack agile team and participate in all aspects of teams work of building out John Deeres Ecommerce applications and ensuring delivery adheres to the proposed architecture.
* Ensure delivery follows technical practices such as following design solutions and leveraging industry standards such as SOLID principles and 12 Factor App for development practices within the team.
* Ensure high quality software through adherence to Test Driven Development (TDD) as the foundation of development and enabling CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
* Pair with other team members to ensure software quality, optimal solutions and facilitation of cross pollination of knowledge.
* Utilize understanding of Cloud Computing, Analytics and Integration patterns to leverage in creating a Data driven and Scalable Environment to support Ecommerce.

What Skills You Need

* 5+ years of proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java or NodeJS (ex: Platforms, Applications, API's) leveraging change management
* 5+ years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
* 3+ years of demonstrated experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
* 3+ years of demonstrated experience in TDD, acceptance test-driven development and emerging design
* 2+ years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing JavaScript UI applications with React.js, Jquery or Angular.js'
* 2+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and delivering applications for the cloud

* Demonstrated experience delivering Ecommerce Solutions.
* Demonstrated experience with the SAP Commerce (Hybris) Platform
* Demonstrated experience utilizing Data and Analytics to augment Commerce Solutions.
* Experience providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members within a product space.
* Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution.

Education or equivalent work experience

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
