Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineering-Waterloo IA - 71080
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

* Maintain and update existing tools and processes.
* Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
* Gather, review, and analyze information as directed by manufacturing engineers.
* Support multiple departments in daily functions.
* Produce a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes.
* Learn SAP business software to maintain and update part process and gaging instructions.

What Skills You Need

* Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in engineering, technology, or computer science; others may apply
* Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc)
* If currently attending a community college must plan to pursue a 4-year degree
* Graduation date of December 2022 or later
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
* Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
* 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
* 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
* Experience using Excel, Word and Powerpoint

What Makes You Stand Out

* Understanding of various functions within respective business
* Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency using Excel advanced functions such as macros or pivot tables
* Experience machining metal (turning, milling, drilling)
