Position is based in Memphis and not eligible for remote work. Relocation available for the right candidate.

This is a highly technical and specialized role, reporting to TAS Automation Solutions Manager. This role will identify and automate tactical solutions for TAS applications and associated environments. To deliver more value-added activities to simplify and streamline processes while adhering to solution design best practices.

This role is responsible for providing strategic guidance for the Automation Solutions team. The Engineer will be responsible for consulting on business integration solutions. As well as the system architecture, solutions analysis, service design, and capacity, supporting growth and innovation capabilities.

This role will interact and collaborate with business partners, stakeholders and development teams on technical specifications, and requirements documentation, acting as a subject matter expert for business and staff groups seeking services and education. This role will give technical direction, mentoring and supervision to the team.

Purpose:

* To deliver individual process automations that streamline and simplify our operations and business processes, allowing our business partners to allocate resources to more value added activates and innovation initiatives.
* To assist in the strategic growth of the Automation Solutions team application and environment through education, mentoring and consulting.
* Serves as a senior engineer providing expert-level designs for automated solutions projects and consultations that meet customer satisfaction.
* Plan, design, install, and configurations, integration solutions according to standards and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

* Serve as product owners for selected automation tools, to include evaluating technologies directly with vendors, choosing solutions and architecting environments.
* Aware of platforms, experienced in scripting tools to streamline and support automation and integration of the platforms including engineering new technologies.
* Collaboration with business partners and support teams in the identification and creation of all appropriate automation process scenarios and their expected outcomes that will be used during the testing and validation of the delivered solution.
* Acting as a central point of knowledge and control for business processes, communicating with the business partners, support teams and application owners, to answer any questions that arise during the development, integration and testing of the automated solutions.
* Support existing processes and implement change requirements adhering change management procedures.
* Provide a level of expertise and knowledge of Automation application and tools associated with the TAS environments to support business partners solutions for onboarding and continuous improvement.
* Mentor colleagues - providing advice support of the TAS Automation solutions services and guidance on best practices and development techniques.
* Accurate planning and tracking of Define, Design, Build and Test deliverables and ensuring stakeholders are regularly updated of status and progress.
* Fully and clearly, document automated solutions, to the level of detail that would enable any team member to follow the manual process without any further questions. Adhering to policies, principles and best practice guidelines.
* Daily administration of the automation application and solving issues that arise in the day to day running of the processes. Assisting in timely responses and solutions as required.

Basic Qualifications:

* BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area
* 10+ years experience in systems engineering, automation experience, broad technology exposure, understanding of IP systems, processes and methodologies.
* Proficiency in software engineering tools, scripting and development.
* Strong experience and knowledge of Business/System Analysis in a structured environment.
* Have measurable experience in driving for results, problem solving, managing and measuring deliverables
* The aptitude to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and procedures in a controlled manner to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel.
* A track record in training and mentoring individuals on development and implementation methods
* The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks.
* Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
* Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
* An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
* An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
* A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
* Experience and knowledge of project management in a structured environment.
* Ability to control meetings and ensure the attendees are focused on achieving the predefined objectives.
* Working knowledge of SAP ERP
* Working knowledge of Automic, Ansible, Azure, PowerShell, and APIs integrations.
* Basic programming languages knowledge (VB.NET, C.NET, Web Development, VBA, JavaScript, Java knowledge)
* Basic knowledge of database platforms: SQL Server, Oracle
