Position Overview
As a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer, you will be accountable as an individual and engagement team leader for delivering value to clients and Insight by bringing deep technology domain and implementation expertise in topics such as cloud platform integration, DevOps toolchain automation, orchestration/provisioning, middleware (ex. Azure Logic Apps), networking, security, compute, and/or storage. The Senior Cloud Automation Engineer is expected to lead the gathering of customer business and technical requirements, implement specific technologies while demonstrating progress on a regular basis. You will also work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Lead Architects, or Project Managers to identify and overcome blockers.
What Youll Do at Insight
* Troubleshoot and implement modern cloud services
* Use ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB to interface with orchestration tooling (Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Code)
* Write scripts, playbooks, or other standard actions leveraging APIs
* Document workflows, process, architecture, and other deliverables needed to create knowledge for the business to understand the solution built, developed, and managed
* Maintain required level of knowledge on company-offered solutions including the completion of assigned courses and relevant certification exams when applicable;
* Be able to educate others within the organizations in the areas of your expertise.
* Continue to expand personal knowledge of the technology industry, services, and innovations.
What Youll Need to Join Insight
* BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, and 5 years of experience troubleshooting and implementing cloud-based services.
* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services cloud platforms and the services offered on the platforms preferred.
* Hands-on experience with automation tooling and implementation with an IT professional services firm or similar background.
* Hands-on experience with Cloud Orchestration frameworks, Enterprise IT service provisioning tools, and their role in IT transformation
* Hands-on experience working in an Agile Scrum framework leveraging stories, epics, sprints, and backlog planning to complete work
* Knowledge and experience in implementing CI/CD tooling to integration into automation and orchestration activities.
* Working knowledge of Infrastructure technologies (server, network, storage, load balancing clustering, etc.) that interface with automation tooling (Ansible, Terraform)
* Experience working in Linux operating systems
* Ability to demonstrate thought leadership, influence technology roadmap, and communicate effectively.
* Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting.
Compensation is determined by fair market value: $85,000 - $115,000
