Responsibilities:
QC LAB TECHNICIAN: The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the plant's production and quality departments. The incumbent will take samples, run tests, perform inspections, and review paperwork. The Quality Technician will be a part of the food safety team and participate/assist with audits. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Able to work on the fly with production and assist with sampling and paperwork. Including taking and running of samples and review of batch paperwork. Assist Q.A. Team members by being responsive to any problems relative to food safety and GMP guidelines. Being proactive and quickly and expertly alleviating difficulties as necessary. Participate in team meetings to help outline work schedules and priorities. Understand and follow plant, GMP and HACCP procedures and also help enforce and train others. Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate stock of supplies and testing equipment in conjunction with other team members. Perform environmental sampling and product sampling procedure with proper communication of results. The following are required: High School Diploma/GED 1+ years of experience in a quality technician, laboratory, or related role OR an Associate's Degree or higher in a science related field Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed Note: For consideration for the position, one must include an updated resume, participate and be successful in an interview process, and pass a drug screen, background check, physical screen, etc. The following are preferred: Previous experience with HACCP, food safety, and general quality assurance procedures Previous experience working in a GMP environment QA TECHNICIAN: Responsible for support of the plants Quality and Food Safety and HACCP Systems. Utilize HACCP philosophy and procedures in everyday work routine. Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate stock of supplies and testing equipment in conjunction with other Q.A. Team members. Perform environmental sampling and product sampling procedures. Your qualification profile: To successfully perform the requirements of this position; High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Minimum of 1 year related work experience, or possess an associate degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Microbiology or Biology Must be knowledgeable in HACCP, food safety and general quality assurance procedures. The ability to work as an active team member as well as independently, strong math and good interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) are required. Comments/Special Instructions
Medical/physical screening, drug testing, and pulmonary function test to be done via SSM Health/Dean. QA Technician Role needs the "QA and FS Department" fitness test via SSM Health/Dean. QC Lab Tech Role needs the "Laboratory Technician-Quality Control" fitness test via SSM Health/Dean. **Potential for FTE openings in March/April for these roles. However, the FTE positions will be for 3rd shift. For consideration for a FTE role with a Client N&B (soon to be IFF), one must complete an online job application with an updated resume, participate and be successful in an interview process, and pass a drug screen, background check, physical screen, etc. Again, no FTE roles will be available until March/April.
