You will report directly to the Director of Surgical Services and manages service and vendor contracts. You will ensure new products and Surgeon requests are processed in a timely manner through appropriate approvals. You will work with Supply Chain and Central Sterile Managers to coordinate needed equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for daily surgical cases. You will work closely with vendors to verify case coverage. You are responsible for assuring accurate collection, management, distribution and analysis of the Departments data. The Department of Surgery includes the main operating rooms, Trauma Service Line, CVOR, PACU, ENDO, Anesthesia, Scheduling, Outpatient Surgery and Central Sterile. Data is timely, reported to the Director of Surgical Services and ultimately the COO/CFO. You are responsible for ensuring all supplies, equipment, and instruments ordered are replenished in an accurate and timely manner. You will oversee proper procedures are followed for storage of supplies, equipment, and instruments utilized throughout the facility. You will monitor and schedule preventative maintenance of equipment according to established parameters, and ensures instruments and equipment are maintained in proper working order at all times

* You will assist the Surgical Services Director and other Surgical Services managers to develop and monitor departmental budgets to achieve desired outcomes.
* You will prepare and submit annual capital, personnel, revenue and expensive budgets annually to the Director of Surgical Services for approval.
* You will analyze statistical data and provides information and written reports to the Director of Surgical Services.
* You will develop and implements ongoing strategies to contain costs as identified by the Director of Surgical Services.
* You will review payroll and labor distribution on a monthly basis and reports variances to the Director of Surgical Services.
* You will identify Departmental variances from budget projections by reviewing daily operating reports.
* You will identifiy productivity within acceptable benchmarks and provides suggestions for action plans to the Director of Surgical Services in a timely manner
* You will evaluate and plan for the future needs of Surgical Services
* You will complete special projects as assigned
* You will design implementation plans for assigned projects
* You will coordinate data management, preference cards and patient billing.
* You will complete departmental bi-weekly payroll.

Experience Required: 5+ years of experience in an acute care hospital
