Assists the Manager/Director in producing and maintaining a high quality housekeeping service. Supervises, trains and motivates the employees to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive facility.

St. Davids Round Rock Medical Center, which is part of St. Davids HealthCare, is a 171-bed facility offering a range of services including advanced cardiac care at Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David's Round Rockthe first specialized cardiac facility in Williamson County, which offers heart and valve surgery and includes a catheterization and electrophysiology lab, as well as a Hybrid Operating Room (OR) for cardiovascular patients. Other services include advanced trauma care with a Level II Trauma Center, emergency services in a 24-hour emergency department including locations in Cedar Park and Leander, as well as a dedicated unit for cancer care and inpatient rehabilitation. St. Davids Round Rock Medical Center is also known for providing neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic and robotic services, among other complex specialties.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Maintains discipline of employees, working relationships with other supervisor personnel and frequently reviews employee records. Makes decisions frequently and independently in the production task area. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA and Round Rock Medical Center. Verbal communication skills are necessary. Adheres to isolation policies and procedures. Utilizes universal precautions at all times. Works autonomously and with supervision. Maintains confidentiality of patient medical records. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Education and Experience:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities and good organizational skills. Must be skilled at operating equipment and processes that will be required of production staff (within 90 days of hire). Computer skills and knowledge preferred.

Preferred: One to two years of experience in supervising 15-25 personnel in housekeeping or other production activities that resulted in high performance levels from subordinates
