Ocala Health encompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center, a 256-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital, a 174-bed hospital located in west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency department located in southern Marion County, and Maricamp ER, a freestanding emergency department located on Maricamp Road in Ocala. Ocala Regional Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospitals offer a host of other quality and award winning services including orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services including open heart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological and rehabilitation services, and bariatric surgery. Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County. Ocala Healths outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary care network of six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centers; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior Wellness Community Center; and three surgical and physician specialty practices.

Ocala Health has 3 Cardiac Catheterization and 1 Electrophysiology Laboratories. We hold the highest quality ranking (4Star) from the NCDR and perform an array of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including complex PCI, CTO, Rotablator, Impella, device implantation (including leadless) and TAVR. Additionally, we provide complex ablation services utilizing both radiofrequency and cryoablation.

In addition to fully supporting our communitys cardiovascular healthcare needs Ocala Health supports our community by offering employment opportunities for healthcare workers, such as RNs, Cardiovascular Technologists and Radiology Technologists.

Responsible for working as a team member with other Cardiac Cath lab (CCL) personnel and physicians in providing the technical expertise necessary to perform procedures required in the CCL. The maintenance of the CCL in all respects lies with each staff member. He/She is responsible for providing a safe and meaningful service to the patient. To this end (s)he must be familiar with all necessary equipment involved in performing such duties, and be able to operate such equipment when needed. He/she must have knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamics and sterile technique. He/she must have a good understanding of the whole scope of procedures performed. He/she is responsible for providing the physician alternative techniques for successful completion of the procedure. Is expected to act upon his/her own initiative in the operation of the CCL.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-year Associate Degree

License/Certification
Current RT state license, or Current RCIS certification
