* Dynamic Departmental Duties

Responsibilities:

* The Dietitian is responsible for screening patients according to hospital policy.
* She/He develops and implements nutrition care plans and provides nutrition counseling to individual patients/clients and participants in group nutrition classes.
* The Dietitian demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the following age groups: neonate/infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Qualifications

What Qualifications You Will Need:

* Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition
* Successful completion of the Dietetic Assistant Course from the American Dietetic Association
* Licensed to practice as a Dietitian in the State of Louisiana
