Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is onsite in Armonk, NY.

The CIO Learning Services teams core responsibilities involve providing sate of the art web development for IBMs external Skills Gateway -Educational offerings to IBMs customers and clients. Additionally, the team is responsible for internal web sites and databases supporting the course offerings and educational material available to our Global Trading Partners. The team develops, supports and maintains the web sites, supporting applications and databases on the IBM Cloud.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

* Web based Application Development based on prioritized requirements establishing industry best practice for technology and design.
* Define infrastructure and reusable components as well as testing and support of the Cloud infrastructure for all sub projects
* Work with and across a variety of web frameworks and toolkits
* Debugging and problem determination of issues that surface
* Interact closely with the Iteration Manager and extended Application support teams as part of the end to end architecture.
* Communicate with all levels within the organization

* Throughout the day, you will collaborate with your teammates and interact with our product owners using the Agile Development approach.
* The focus will be on design, development and deployment of key enhancements to current systems, as well as new development.
* Participate and/or lead in our lunch and learn sessions
* Take a break and have fun by participating with other IBMers in a game of ping pong or foosball

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Ability to program in the some of the following technologies: Java, React, NodeJS
* At least one year of programming experience either in education setting or business
* Familiarity with Front end and Back End, Cloud Development

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Experience in coding in React and NodeJS
* Methodologies: Agile
* Knowledge of databases, for example DB2/SQL, Cloudant
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science (Programming focus), Software Engineering or closely related field or equivalent experience
