Your Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Clinical Sales Expeditor (CSE) is a process-oriented professional responsible for partnering with senior life sciences sellers to drive and optimize deal flows. You will be expected to return time to sellers via facilitation of back-office processes and continuous improvement. You should expect to be hands-on and tactical in order to expedite deals. Additionally, you will continuously support identification of process inefficiencies and recommendations for improvement.
As Senior CSE, you will be a liaison between Sellers, Sales Leadership and business operations functions (e.g. Q2C Ops., Legal, Contracts Management, A/R, etc.) to minimize administrative responsibilities for sellers. Reduced cycle times and timely execution of agreements are among potential metrics, to which the you will be measured. You will become a strategic partner and process advisor to Senior LS BD Directors and, will be expected to expedite large deals particularly from mid-stages through contract execution.
Key Responsibilities include:
* IBM business process advisory;
* Driving timely execution of commercial agreements that may include Statements of Work (SOW), Changes in Scope (CIS), Data Riders, Project Change Requests (PCR) and other transaction documents;
* Development and/or updating of quotes, rate cards and orders in IBM SQO and/or facilitating collaboration with appropriate departments;
* Navigation of IBM business processes and stakeholders for Sellers and Sales Leaders (e.g. credit checks, manual invoicing, MSA reviews, etc.);
* Ad-hoc client related tasks (e.g. Changing/updating contacts in SQO) to eliminate order process bottlenecks;
* Logging of all deals and projects participated in to support performance tracking.
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position 66,000 to 103,000 is based on a full time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* 3+ years in contracts, business development, or sales;
* Ability and DESIRE to partner with and influence others in a highly matrixed organization (without direct authority), as part of cross-functional teams, to achieve goals;
* Strong writer and oral communicator;
* Project management experience;
* Basic understanding of clinical development, RWD/RWE and/or life sciences.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Basic understanding of IBM Watson Health sales processes and solutions;
* Proficiency with IBM SQO or other quotation and workflow tools (e.g. Salesforce, BPM, etc.);
* Basic knowledge of SaaS and services solutions for HEOR, RWD, Clinical Development and/or other LS solutions;
* Highly driven self-starter with outstanding facilitation skills;
* Process oriented with analysis/design experience or education.
