Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Architect with deep expertise in hybrid cloud, dev/ops and automation to join our Financial Services Cloud team in North America. In this role, you will help design, develop, implement and test reference architectures and associated automation assets that bring out the best of IBM and our Financial Services Cloud ecosystem to assist our customers with Digital Transformation of their business processes and application modernization to cloud. You will define target architectures, identify tooling and create automation and toolchains to implement modern cloud native architectures with container platforms and cloud services.

As an IBM Financial Services Cloud Architect, your ability to contribute hands-on and drive enterprise scale architectural initiatives defines you as a technical leader. Serving as a liaison among executive level business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders, other responsibilities include...

* Design, develop, test and continuously optimize secure and compliant reference architectures covering Microservices Architecture, Event Driven Architectures, and Advanced Data / AI Architectures

* Create automation for the secure and compliant reference architectures, including dev/sec/ops automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and integration of open source SW to provide easy to use solutions to clients and partners.

* Understand and apply Security by Design principles in the reference architectures and automation assets, as well as in the use of compliant IaaS and PaaS.

* Gather and assess requirements from current application and infrastructure solutions, inclusive of Partner Ecosystem Solutions, performing a gap analysis, and recommending the to-be application solution architecture.

* Use your knowledge on IaaS and PaaS offerings in the market, cloud application architecture and best practices on API management, Microservices, DevOps, Data Modernization and cloud integration suites to advise our clients on their hybrid cloud journey.

* Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and solutions to cloud and automation challenges

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* 10+ years of hands on experience on SW/IT Engineering, including development/integration of solutions

* 10+ years of at-scale experience on developing application or solutions leveraging Java application development, APIs, Microservice Architectures.

* 3 + years of hands on experience in cloud or hybrid cloud

* 3+ years of hands on experience on DevOps, DevSecOps, and Production best practices

* 3+ years of experience on security by design, enabling security and compliance on solutions

* 2+ years of experience with container technology Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift

* 2+ years of experience with configuration automation or infrastructure as code tools like Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins and terraform

* 2+ years of experience on pipeline/toolchain technologies like Tekton

* 2+ years of experience with Go or Python development

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Experience on Financial Services or Insurance market

* Experience on Security architecture

* 3+ years of experience with at-scale Data Innovation and modernization for competitive advantages, inclusive of Advanced Analytics, Event Driven Architectures, AI and ML

* 3+ years of experience on Cloud transformation journey in design, application migration planning or implementation

* Certification in RedHat or Architect certification in one of the prominent Public Clouds (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP)
