Introduction
As a Corporate Strategy Consultant at IBM you deliver projects across all IBM business units and industries to develop strategies for new market opportunities or accelerate existing strategies. Over the years, IBM Corporate Strategy has impacted IBMs biggest strategic decisions and worked closely with various IBM business units on transformational initiatives.

Corporate Strategy positions you for a career in IBM to grow within the Corporate Strategy group taking on increasing levels of leadership and temporarily rotating into different businesses. Or, you get the groups full support in finding a new leadership role elsewhere in IBM.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy Consultants engage with senior leaders across IBM business units to identify and frame strategic issues, conduct fact-based analysis and develop recommendations to achieve meaningful and tangible business impact. You will use business and consulting skills to analyze complex strategic issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate strategies.

The breadth and scope of project work requires working with many areas of the IBM organization including, but not limited to, business units, finance, sales and marketing, research, product development and transformation and operations. Our flat organizational structure enables high visibility and experience working with IBM senior leadership.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* 5+ years of business experience, preferably in a strategy driven role

* Excellent analytical problem-solving, leadership and communication skills

* Experience in conducting in-dept research by utilizing interviews, financial modelling and reports from industry analyst and internal sources

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Masters Degree in Business/Management with 4 years of experience in business strategy and problem solving

Corporate Strategy is an internal management consulting organization that focuses on the most important IBM-wide strategic opportunities and challenges. Our team consists of about 50 experienced and highly skilled strategy and technology professionals. The unit has a collaborative and dynamic work environment with a highly diverse group of colleagues. Our small size allows for a tight- knit community, and the diversity allows for lively discussion and ample learning opportunity.

We offer two options for a work location: IBM Global Headquarters in Armonk, NY, and a dedicated purpose-built space for Corporate Strategy in 33 Maiden Lane in New York City.
