Introduction
The IBM's Cloud and Cognitive organization is a seeking a senior engineer who is passionate for technology and skills development to join our team as a Cloud Pak for Data Partner Ecosystem Engineer. This is both a technical and program leadership role.

The Cloud Pak for Data Partner team has the responsibility to bring IBM partners into the Cloud Pak for Data ecosystem as the customer take the journey to develop an information architecture for AI with the goal to accelerate and modernize their insight to data.

In order to broaden the Cloud Pak for Data platform and unlock more value for the customer, the mission for this team is to onboard partners whose offerings complement and extend the platform. As the lead engineer in this program, you will need to understand the partners offering and using your technical experience and project leadership, you will guide the partner to make the changes necessary to their offering to integrate into the Red Hat OpenShift and Cloud Pak for Data platform. Deep knowledge of Red Hat and Cloud Pak certification is a critical skill to be successful in this role. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to work across software development disciplines which include product managers, developers, quality assurance engineers and their managers, and be able to communicate technical information to executives, architects, and engineers. You will own the onboard requirements and program process and be expected to assess and implement changes as the program objective evolves due to changing business objectives.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Have technical expertise to guide partners to bring their solution onto the Red Hat OpenShift and Cloud Pak for Data platform.

Have experience in the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) model to bring a partner offering into the Cloud Pak for Data CI/CD pipeline to form an integrated development environment.

Work closely with Partners, Offering Managers, Developers, and the Partner Eco-system to bring partners onboard to the Cloud Pak for Data ecosystem.

Lead and learn in a collaborative environment to increase the efficiency of the partner onboard process by tracking, identifying, analyzing, and developing plans to fill program gaps.

Be responsible for communication of key onboard activities to program stakeholders.

Work with multiple partners concurrently.

Support special projects based on changing business needs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A proven track record of driving project timelines to meet program objectives.

Design and develop onboard documentation.

Passion for working collaboratively across IBM and IBMs ecosystem to build a successful program.

Technical skills that include: OpenShift/Kubernetes & Docker, Operator SDK, Linux with bash & Python, Ansible, Git, Kubernetes Monitoring & Management (Prometheus, ELK), familiar with Jenkins & DevOps, familiar with Cloud/IaaS (IBM, Azure, AWS), familiarity with Relational & NOSQL databases.

Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to quickly grow expertise in IBM technology areas which are relevant to the business

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

Experience with MS Office tools and general web publishing.
