Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Regional Ethics and Compliance Manager to join our Regional Ethics and Compliance team. The teams mission is to assess and prevent compliance risks, and build relationships that promote a culture of ethics and compliance at Facebook. As a Regional Ethics and Compliance Manager, this person will be the first point of contact supporting ethics and compliance matters for several business units and cross-functional teams with an initial geographical focus on North America. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with different Facebook teams on multiple projects and initiatives, combining your compliance expertise and regional knowledge to ensure successful rollouts and enable the attainment of key corporate goals. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team-oriented individual who can collaborate effectively with variety of stakeholders and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Also, the ideal candidate must be able to understand and assess risks across several different business areas, build relationships with an array of stakeholders and effectively identify and tackle ethics and compliance issues.

Regional Ethics & Compliance Manager - Americas Responsibilities

* Develop and execute ethics and compliance initiatives across markets, with focus on North America, including measures to drive compliance with the Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Policy, Competition Compliance Policy, and other relevant compliance policies.

* Conduct outreach regarding ethics and compliance matters and serve as a point of contact between the Compliance team and various business partners.

* Partner with the business to provide on-going ethics and compliance advice and support.

* Plan and conduct regional and programmatic risk assessments.

* Analyze Compliance approval requests for resolution or escalation, with a particular focus on anti-corruption risks.

* Plan and conduct tailored ethics and compliance training & comms initiatives in the region.

* Review third-party engagements for potential ethical and compliance risks, managing compliance due diligence, oversight, and monitoring of higher-risk third parties and advising the business on relevant mitigation measures.

* Utilize regional knowledge and expertise to identify and recommend opportunities for programmatic and policy improvements, and work in collaboration with other Compliance verticals to implement such improvements.

* Up to 40% travel may be required (once COVID-19 subsides).

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience working with compliance, finance, internal audit and/or legal

* Experience planning and conducting risk assessments

* Experience with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and US anti-corruption regulations

* Experience developing working relationships while working cross-functionally with multiple geographies and employees of diverse backgrounds, including communicating in a jargon-free fashion

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in media, technology, government relations, and/or advertising

* Experience working with compliance programs for global organizations

* Experience with third party due diligence

* Experience providing live training to large audiences

* Understanding of the regulatory environment related to lobbying activities

* Experience prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment

* Fluency in Spanish
