The successful candidate will join a team of attorneys responsible for handling inquiries by enforcement agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), and leading internal investigations on matters such as anti-corruption, compliance, taxation, corporate fraud, securities fraud.
Counsel, Special Investigations Responsibilities
* Conduct investigation of matters relating to anti-corruption, compliance, taxation, corporate fraud, securities fraud, and other areas involving potential criminal liability
* Engage with enforcement agencies such as the DOJ and SEC
* Retain and manage outside counsel relating to investigation matters
* Ensure investigations result in remediations that maintain a culture of compliance
Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years of investigations experience
* J.D. and membership in at least one U.S. State Bar
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as a federal prosecutor or similar experience at a federal enforcement agency such as the SEC
* Experience managing corporate investigations in-house or at a law firm
* Experience with international law enforcement
