Instagram is seeking to grow its Media Partnerships Music team with a Strategic Partner Manager who is passionate about the music industry and has a proven track record in executing high profile artist activations & content strategies across multiple video surfaces. The Media Partnerships team manages strategic relationships with Instagrams key superstar artists/musicians and tomorrows up & coming/breakthrough stars. The person in this Strategic Partner Manager role will work closely with our Partnerships Services team in engaging with top strategic partners across Music to execute activations for both high profile up & coming superstars and meaningful cultural moments. This includes partner relationships, account management, product education/launches and event planning/execution. The person in this role will have the opportunity to work directly and independently with relevant contacts in partner organizations and execute short form video content strategies for music priorities. In addition to working with external partners and the broader Media Partnerships team, this role will also interface and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Partner Marketing, Communications, Policy, Editorial, Data and Media Operations teams. This is a full time position.
Strategic Partner Manager, Music Responsibilities
* Support Head of Music in managing the Music industry ecosystem by engaging with and account management for top strategic partners (e.g. artists/bands and music executives) and up & coming stars (e.g. music influencers, publishers, etc.)
* Lead outreach efforts and inbound assistance for public figures and industry influencers providing bespoke short form content strategy
* Establish new processes to improve current workflows in order to drive strategic growth and scale to a high volume of music partners
* Create innovative and strategic talent programs that ladder up to company goals
* Handle partner account issue problem solving, on-boarding guidance and day-to-day inbound from music accounts
* Track, analyze and communicate industry trends
* Operationalize and set strategy for music integrations and co-work on short form video strategy and goals with Instagram/Facebook SPMs
* Interface with vertical and regional SPMs to ideate cross-functional programs to create partner value
* Support/lead team projects and events (e.g. Luncheon/events for Grammys, organize industry gatherings)
* Identify new and emerging talent and amplify their strategy on Instagram
* Identify new opportunities with talent and their teams to amplify and grow their business objectives on the platform
* Serve as an internal advocate within Instagram for partners by working with Sales, Product and other Outreach teams
Minimum Qualifications
* 10+ years of music industry experience with trusted & effective industry relationships (music talent, agencies, labels, or relevant industry)
* Proven track record in high profile artist activations & content strategy execution
Preferred Qualifications
* Self-motivated and experience operating in a rapidly changing work environment
* Proactive solution-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong working knowledge of the Instagram ecosystem - tools, surfaces, and opportunities
* Experience thinking strategically and creatively about complicated issues, creating rational recommendations and action plans
* Experience interpreting data, identifying problems, and coming up with constructive solutions
