As a Privacy Analyst, you will help a growing team within the Privacy organization to manage the Facebook Privacy Incident lifecycle from initial identification through completion of remediation tasks. This position has a 16-week duration. All candidates are expected to commit to a consecutive 16 week timeframe for successful completion of the program. At the end of the term, those participants who have demonstrated their ability to succeed and make an impact at Facebook will be considered for a full-time position. Return to Work - Privacy Analyst Responsibilities
* Translate and summarize technical conversations to non-technical audiences.
* Communicate information to technical and non-technical individuals.
* Monitor incoming incidents and ensure they are properly categorized and actioned.
* Capturing and maintaining contemporaneous documentation of all aspects of Incident Response through the entire lifecycle of the Incident.
* Attend and document all notes, action items and decisions during fact gathering and cross functional meetings for each incident.
* Engage with Data Science team to gather relevant information for impact assessment.
* Partner with Privacy Incident Management on call, relevant engineering owner of incident in identifying root cause and contributing factors.
* Partner with Privacy Legal compliance and aid in unblocking them on moving incidents through the process.
* Schedule, track, and follow up incident remediation tasks.
* Schedule, track, and document privacy incident (SEV) review process.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 2+ years experience in the Privacy or Security domain.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working on Privacy technical issues within Privacy Engineering or Privacy Compliance.
* Experience working cross-functionally and knowledge in creating consensus with many different teams from technical to non-technical extremes.
* Familiarity with privacy related laws, including in the U.S., and EU, e.g., GDPR.
* Comfortable working in a fast changing privacy industry with an ever-changing legal landscape.
* Experience thriving in working on open-ended, ambiguous problems.
