General Description with Scope:
Supervise, coordinate, track and report the activities of all maintenance personnel for assigned Business Unit and shift focusing first and foremost on safety and secondly on working with production to minimize downtime. Coordinate all predictive and preventative maintenance projects ensuring their timely completion. Ensure any contractors performing work in designated BU and shift are following all Dana requirements. Support manufacturing operations with a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
1. Direct Dana employees and contract workers engaged in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical parts, equipment and machines in accordance with designs, diagrams, operating manuals and specifications following all Dana safety policies and procedures.
2. Assist in downtime analysis to increase uptime and develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs for more efficient plant operations.
3. Work closely with the Area Manager and the Scheduler to prioritize assignments based on production needs.
4. Advise workers engaged in analyzing, observing and examining parts and machinery by assisting in problem solving and establishing a corrective course of action.
5. Attend daily Diamond meetings. Report on all KPI at the meeting.
6. Create and maintain Open Issues list and drive all issues to completion.
7. Create and interpret work orders and specifications to set priorities and assign duties to workers to ensure completion of projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Accurately and timely perform all daily / weekly duties related to payroll for direct reports.
9. Ensure 5S of the maintenance area.
10. Ensure all maintenance personnel clean up properly after themselves when leaving a work area.
11. Complete and maintain various records regarding ordered parts and materials, maintenance time, safety and other related elements.
12. Maintain procedures and systems related to preventive maintenance, plant maintenance and overall manufacturing operations.
13. Identify and recommend continuous improvements.
14. Evaluate manning and skill levels of each individual and work to develop needed skills. Complete all Talent Management assignments related to annual goal setting, mid year reviews and year end reviews.
15. May assist Maintenance Manager and/or Area Manager with budget preparation.
16. Be familiar with and work to maintain compliance to the maintenance budget.
17. Participate on problem solving teams and assign maintenance technicians to teams as necessary.
18. Maintain skills and stay current with evolving technologies through professional societies and training.
19. Develop B.O.M.s, budgets and schedules for various machine maintenance projects.
20. Determine minimum/maximum level of maintenance spares.
21. Foster an environment that reflects Danas guiding principles of Teamwork.
22. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and management.
Education & Experience Required/Preferred:
Knowledge of maintenance activities and techniques through Bachelor degree program, appropriate apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
