Our Software Control team is seeking an Associate Software Control Librarian to join our team. This role will review, validate, update, and archive engineering master data for documentation and software releases. This person will be working with different tools and processes including SAP, Product Data Management, Export Compliance, and Third Party Intellectual Property.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Ensures conformance of Data Requests to applicable policies and procedures.
* Identifies actual or potential problems in the document release process and assists in creating a solution.
* Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
* Contacts are primarily with immediate work unit and internal engineering customers. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Tasks have moderate technical complexity.
* Considerable knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with work and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
* Customer Service Orientation - Applies fundamental service techniques and adheres to proper customer procedures when interacting with customers.
* Detail Orientation - Is able to provide the status of work assignments at any time and can quickly produce any documentation or information that is needed.
* Relationships - Displays a compassionate and helpful attitude toward the needs of others.
Basic Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM)
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Customer Service experience
* Willingness to work overtime as requested/required
* Knowledge of the SCL Release Process preferred
