We have an immediate opening for an experienced Production Control Mgr. at our Landing Gear facility in Haltom City, Texas. The functional responsibilities include Production Control and Shop Floor Mgmt. to support the on-time assembly of material to support the short-term requirement plan The Production Control Mgr. shall be responsible for implementing, tracking, measuring and reporting all required site and Central Landing Systems key performance metrics. In addition, the Production Control Mgr. shall conduct root cause analysis and generate mitigation plans for metrics that are not meeting target.
The Production Control Mgr. shall ensure that all Central Landing Systems Materials Management and all site policies and procedures are developed, implemented and adhered to. Additional responsibilities include driving change in process and procedures through the use of Continuous Improvement to meet expected corporate inventory objectives.
The Production Control Mgr. shall coach and develop Material Management resources, including monitoring workflow and efficiency, evaluating performance, performing annual reviews, providing skill development and training.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership, Collaboration, & Change Management
* Lead a team of 4 Production Control Specialists in the successful creation of short-term build plans
* Provide leadership and guidance to a Production Control Clerk to maintain data integrity regarding work orders, rework orders, and STO management
* Participate in activities to include Delivery Clinic, 5S, Kaizen, DIVE events, Six Sigma, and other related Continuous Improvement events
* Continuously drive 5S culture within the Materials organization
* Support achievement of ACE (Continuous Improvement) Gold activities
Production Control Planning
* Review all outputs of the short-term constrained supply plan to create an achievable 30 60-day finite schedule
* Publish the weekly production schedule
* Manage Materials Mgmt. owned rework work orders cross-functionally
* Audit and review corporate and site Production Planning policies
* Create SOPs for Production Planning processes as needed
Shop Floor Management
* Assure all receipts of goods are properly allocated and kitted in a timely manner
* Own the review cadence to synch current material shortages with kit capability
* Serve as the cross-function senior level point-of-contact for the daily requests that impact the flow of production
* Communicate all in-month changes to plan via the weekly Outlook review
* Own the management of STOs for all OE / Make Spares related finished goods
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
* Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
Preferred Qualifications:
* Production Planning experience (5+ in manufacturing)
* SAP experience
* Experience managing teams in Production Control
* MBA in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain/ Materials Management
* APICS CSCP Certification
* Aerospace experience
