Position Summary:
Responsible for the departments' operational excellence: assures departments deliver quality services in accordance with the medical center mission, and with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards. Manages human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations. Effectively communicates departmental, organization and industry information to staff. Is responsible for the fiscal management of department: assures proper utilization of organization's financial resources. Supports and exemplifies the hospital's established Mission, Vision and Values. Adheres to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Previous leadership experience is required as is experience working an a wound care unit. Must possess strong customer service skills as well as communication and listening skills. The ability for critical thinking and problem solving is essential to success in this role.
Education:
Associate's degree in Nursing is required, BSN strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a lead role in a wound care setting is required.
Certification/Licensure:
Wound care certification strongly preferred
Software/Hardware:
Experience using Meditech software strongly preferred.
