Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
The Broker Dealer operations group supports Securities Operations function for the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB). The seven primary teams within Broker Dealer are:
* Pre-Settlements / trade allocations
* Settlement Operations
* Cash management and intraday Liquidity
* Regulatory control and quality assurance
* Syndicate / New Issue Operations
* Asset Servicing
* Strategy and Process Architecture
Located in Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis and in Hyderabad /Bangalore, India, Asset Servicing is responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the corporate event process. We must provide outstanding service to business partners and customers. The leader needs to maintain and enhance an environment that maintains its focus on serving our clients while constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency.
The group processes corporate actions, including name changes, forward/reverse splits, cash and stock mergers, tenders, merger elections, Dutch tenders, rights exercises, conversions, redemption's, P&I/dividend payments, etc. for all asset classes. This team is the steward of asset servicing events and data across the entire Operations platform. The leader will be challenged to develop both tactical and strategic solutions
Wells Fargo has grown the complexity on its platform to include Prime Brokerage and international markets. This growth in complexity is planned to continue with Non 15a6 flows, Synthetic swaps and quantitative trading. To support the growing complexity, the firm is on boarding a new asset servicing platform. This leader will be continue to be challenged to transform the platform.
Reporting to head of Broker Dealer Operations, Head of Asset servicing will
* creation and execution of all short-mid-long term transformation strategy across automation, event management quality, control, scalability, and operational excellence
* providing meaningful subject matter expertise and influence in regards to all change and run the back initiatives
* building working relationship with senior SMEs and leaders in Operations, Enterprise Risk partners, Business leaders and Technology leaders
* performance of the team in terms of operational excellence, control and risk management effectiveness, and client service
* managing a high performing team through effective hiring, coaching, and rigorous performance/talent management
* identification and remediation of (legacy or new) issues, gaps, risks, data quality and technology deficiencies;
* taking leading roles in cross-Broker Dealer activities, cross-Operations, and enterprise initiatives with or without direct touchpoints to the immediate domain.
* Leading and managing a vendor relationships including TCS and Broadridge
* As a data steward, understand where the data is consumed and how it is used, so we are proactively building data solutions for our stakeholders
* Challenge the operating model of how reference data is used within CIB operations and seek to develop a quality assurance of the data attributes the teams maintains

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of capital markets industry experience
* 5+ years of management experience

* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Extensive math skills
Other Desired Qualifications
* 15+ years of experience in capital markets industry (or relevant experience), with minimum 5 years of those in leadership capacity
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a role with direct touchpoint to one of the following: voluntary corporate actions, dividends, proxy management and payment processing in Asset Servicing events
* Working knowledge of one or many of the following: Broadridge BPS/Impact/GPTM, Smartstream, BANCS, vendor or in-house security and/or pricing master
* Experience in leading and delivering complex strategic change across process, people, policy, and risk and control frameworks
* Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to articulate complex matters concisely and clearly to stakeholders
* Experience with taking leading roles in transformational initiatives across technology and organization
* Proactive attitude with the ability to think through solutions and engage various levels of management
* Proven attention to detail and technical aptitude
* Demonstrate Wells Fargos core values in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders
