POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position starts at $15.65/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for first shift.

This facility operates five days a week and produces Sausage Patties, Sausage Links and Roll Sausage.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for operating case packer, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Set up case packer and operating machine.
* Maintain operation of machine during production.
* Perform necessary maintenance on equipment according to Standardized Work.
* Must have the ability to recognize product that may not meet standards.
* Perform daily paperwork.
* Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
* Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.
* ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000.
* Familiar with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment.
* Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
* Must be willing and able to read SKU numbers, order numbers, box numbers, weights, GTIN labels, and barcodes, also write the information on product check sheets to ensure accuracy of the customers specifications.
* Must be willing and able to read the schedule of products to be processed and compare the information to the current product being ran and write the information on the product check sheet.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Basic Math Skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program.
* Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
* Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
* Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
* Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
* Must have a minimum of 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
* Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location
* Internal: Must not have more than 5 attendance occurrences. Must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months. Must be in your current position for a minimum of six (6) months unless this job is a higher class than you currently hold.
* Internal/External*If the TM awarded this position reaches 5 attendance occurrences while holding this position, they will be automatically disqualified from their position and will be moved to labor pool within the department. They will then have 60 days in which to bid out of Labor Pool.
