Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Market Development Manager to lead global market development activities that represent Cell Biology products and technologies in partnership with broader divisional and corporate campaigns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and tactical implementation of activities and deliverables supporting key global campaigns.

He/She will drive all aspects of our marketing efforts around creating content and/or leveraging existing content to ensure Cell Biology2019s product portfolio2019s presence in broad marketing campaigns

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. They must also have a proven track record in leading a range of complex, high-impact projects simultaneously.

What will you do?

* Act as the leader and single point of contact for the Cell Biology marketing team for division-wide campaigns within a global, cross functional team.
* Leverage existing content/develop content for use in mainly digital channels including, but not limited to, web site, banners, search, social, email, and public relations where the relevant cell biology solutions are best positioned for a research area (e.g., cancer), or workflow (e.g. cell culture, imaging) or that best fit an end customer segment (academia, biotech and pharma)
* Develop and execute engaging, innovative marketing tactics to achieve measurable results
* Create necessary reporting and communicate impact to business (all stakeholders: marketing, product management, regional marketing and leadership)
* Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, key influencer/KOL engagement and management
* Find, nurture and maintain customer advocates and identify collaboration opportunities to drive application content development; leverage partners to champion our solutions
* Propose and execute on customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and actionable business outcomes
* Maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive academic, translational, and clinical research, biotech/pharma research, or other assigned markets

How will you get there?

* Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Biological sciences, or other life science area is preferred. A Bachelor2019s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business, with experience in life sciences, biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry is also acceptable. PhD, MS and/or MBA are desirable
* 7+ years of proven hands-on experience in marketing roles of increasing scope and responsibility in life sciences/biotechnology
* Operate with high degree of independence and autonomy.
* Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in complex global, matrix environments, including managing expectations of multiple stakeholders across business units and regions
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to senior leadership and large audiences
* Exceptional skill managing complex marketing projects with a strong attention to detail
* Adept at building and maintain relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and key influencers/opinion leaders
* Strong creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve on performance
* Develop and deliver presentations for a wide variety of audiences
* Must be able to manage project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project deliverables

Preferred Skills

* Experienced in Microsoft Office365, Adobe analytics, Power BI and Agile
* Approximately 10% travel
