Summary
The Field Training Specialist role is the face of the training department to the field, providing on the ground (and virtual) information to field TMs about processes and products that create revenue and ensure efficient store management. This position will work directly with training management to ensure specific training initiatives are implemented. This role is also responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement solutions. By executing delivery of these training programs and techniques, the Field Training Specialist will provide field operations with an accompanying level of attention in building the competency level of their team members to meet performance standards and improve the company's overall performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver face to face and virtual training in assigned region(s) and support business partners in the identification and scheduling of training needs and services.
* Deliver multiple facets of training, which could include but are not limited to: New Store Openings, Independent Acquisitions, Company Integration Projects, General Manager/District Manager/CAM/CSM Onboarding and Learning Journeys, Supply Chain Training and any other field or corporate training initiatives.
* Partner with colleagues in Organizational Development to deliver leadership training programs across the company, including leadership and inclusion and diversity programs.
* Partner with management and subject matter experts to create and conduct training to support multiple operating models and POS systems within in the company.
* Responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of most training programs as assigned by the Training Manager, Senior Training Manager or Director of Learning and Development.
* Aid in the development of training programs and materials.
* All other duties as assigned by a member of management.
Qualifications

* 5 Years of experience in store operations is required, preferably as a General Manager
* Must possess demonstrated leadership skills
* Highly motivated and change oriented
* Strong planning and organizational skills required
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
* Strong facilitation skills
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook computer programs
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to meet the needs of the organization
* Cause-conscious, beyond solution-focused
* Will be the subject matter expert on implementation (NSOs, Consolidations, etc.) Must be able to plan and think strategically during assessment and implementation; can articulate company initiatives and cultural beliefs
* Ability to analyze business needs, propose solutions and evaluate results
* Must be able to plan and think strategically during assessment and implementation
* Able to deliver training in a variety of media, to various audiences
* Candidate must be able to travel an average of four nights a week, 40 to 45 weeks each year by ground or air transportation to all locations where stores, customer support centers and distribution centers are located
* Must be meeting or exceeding all sales goals and targets in current role (if applicable)
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Minimum of 2 years as a successful General Manager
5+ years of store operations experience required
Prior experience in training preferred, but not required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be ASE Certified or able to attain ASE Certification within two years of accepting this position.
Professional certifications in HR, Training or related fields preferred, but not required.
