Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer candidate to join the REDS (Raytheon Explosive Detection System) Multi-Discipline Engineering Development team to support the technical design and development of RF (Radio Frequency) / NQR (Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance) scanning systems. Typical tasking will include design of RF and NQR probes, electronic controller designs, circuit card design, detailed drawing creation, assembly of prototypes, test and troubleshooting. The candidate will be detail oriented, organized, self-starting, a multitasker, have strong problem solving skills and the ability to team effectively with a variety of personnel.

The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Secret Clearance.

Required Skills:

* Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges
* Background in RF & Digital circuitry and electronics design, 10 MHz and below
* Experience with electrical design and simulation using tools such as Cadence Allegro, Advanced Design Systems(ADS), Unigraphics NX or ANSYS electromagnetic modelling
* Programming experience with MATLAB, Verilog, Linux, Python, C, C++, or LabVIEW
* Experience testing and troubleshooting analog, digital and RF circuitry
* Familiar with Analog, Digital and RF Instrumentation (Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter)
* Demonstrate good written and oral presentation skills
* Ability to work well with other engineers and technicians as well as support personnel in an engineering lab environment.

Desired Skills:

* Ability to read mechanical drawings
* Experience with use of basic hand tools for assembly of prototype units, including some soldering skill for wiring and circuit cards assembly

Education Requirements:
Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 4 years of related work experience.
