Raytheon Missiles & Defense has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) professional to support our compliance assurance and continuous improvement team. As a member of the EH&S Compliance Assurance and Continuous Improvement team this important role will focus on implementing and supporting the EHS MIS and other electronic tools, support site success through the execution of EH&S improvement projects, oversee the collection and distribution of EH&S metrics, and participate on EH&S audit and OSHA VPP Star assessment teams.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated, hands-on experience and knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety management information systems (Enablon, Cority and others), and compliance and continuous improvement experience in one or more of the following areas: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and or environmental sustainability.
Timely support to, and collaboration with, multiple customers on a daily basis is essential. Candidate must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and teaming skills with demonstrated effectiveness working in partnership with colleagues at all levels. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Serve as the businesses Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EH&S software systems and tools
* Provide technical expertise to RMD sites, and assist with issues related to EH&S software systems
* Drive continuous improvement projects to enable adoption of the EH&S software systems
* Participate on, or lead EH&S continuous improvement projects; lead projects as identified
* Coordinate the collection and dissemination of RMD EH&S metrics
* Participate on EH&S project, and EH&S audit teams
Required Skills:
* 8+ years of hands-on environmental, health and safety in dynamic environment.
* Broad understanding of the EH&S software systems, function and processes to support requirements
* US Citizenship status is required as this position will need a US Security Clearance within one year of start date.
Desired Qualifications:
* Proven analytical and problem solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead EH&S projects and teams
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with dashboarding systems and reports
* Advanced project management and execution skills
* Existing security clearance is a plus
* MS/MA degree in safety or other related field of study.
Required Education:
* Bachelors degree in science related field.
