Lead a highly motivated team of Electrical Engineers at the Raytheon Intelligence and Space facility in Forest, MS. You and your team will work on the worlds most advanced radar and aerospace systems in a hands on production environment.

Your key interfaces will be with other functional leaders across the site, other engineering disciplines, and internal/external customers critical to the success of the site. The Section Manager (SM) is a key technical contributor to the programs and products and performs direct line management activities for approximately 15 -20 engineers. These SM activities include career and performance development, training, tool and process development, resource allocation, championing the use of established procedures, processes and instructions while regularly engaging with programs to facilitate implementation and quick and robust resolution of issues. The SM ensures two-way communications for section members; serves as a liaison to the programs/operations ensuring program results along technical, cost and schedule parameters, as well as overseeing section member job assignments, performance and recognition.
Responsibilities include coordinating program staffing needs and optimizing staffing across skills and experience to meet demand for multiple programs. The candidate must have an outstanding ability to provide technical guidance and act as a mentor to their staff. The candidate must be adept at making technical presentations and at establishing customer relationships.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering support of design and/or production including transition to production, test development and product launch
* Previous experience as a technical lead or lead of a technical team
* Experience executing root cause analysis and developing effective corrective actions, by supporting multiple engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment and communicating interim status and final results to high level leaders and customers
* Experience interfacing with customers and program managers, regarding assessment of program performance (technical, cost, quality and schedule)
* Experience providing technical leadership throughout the entire product life cycle; including prior experience ensuring product integrity and mission assurance in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
* The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with production and test of circuit card assemblies or electronics assemblies
* EVMS Certification and deep knowledge of RIS Management System
* Excellent judgment and decision making skills
* Experience with program area Engineering Review/Change Control Boards
* Experience leading and engaging geographically dispersed teams
* Excellent mentoring and employee development skills
* Technical and proposal writing skills
* Previous experience in Defense of Aerospace industry
* Experience supporting supply chain organizations; with significant experience working with suppliers (external and internal) in a technical and/or programmatic oversight role
* Have a current Secret clearance

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited program.
