In this position you will join the team responsible for the security architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The team works at a system level spanning across hardware, software and infrastructure while striving for industry-leading solutions. This team interacts with product management, customers (e.g., OEMs), partners, HW/SW engineering and Services engineering teams to find the optimal Security solution. Snapdragon processors are used in different types of devices ranging from mobile phones to televisions to ultra book laptops, each of which have their own security requirements. Snapdragon processors are designed to meet most of these requirements thus work covers most types of security found in consumer electronics ranging from content protection to enterprise security to factory key provisioning issues to virtualization.

In this position you will perform tasks like these:

* Define HW security requirements (Functional, Performance, Security level)
* Define and architect HW IP blocks that contributes to the overall SoC Security Architecture.
* Perform HW security threat analysis
* Competitive analysis of security IPs and features
* Investigate future/roadmap security related technologies

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
* 7+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

MS degree preferred with 10+ years industry experience required in one or more of the following areas

* HW design experience with SoCs and ARM TrustZone
* Smart Card HW/SW Security Technologies
* Cryptography and protocols using cryptography
* HW/SW threat analysis, security analysis, risk analysis
* Security Certification Process and Requirements

Additional skills in the following areas are a plus:

* Virtualization and OS security applied to complex multi CPU SoCs
* Payment, SIM card, Transit Services Architecture
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills required
* Leadership & management background is required

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

Physical Requirements

Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to mile.

Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
