Waste Water Technician Supervisor

Job Description

As a Waste Water Technician Supervisor you will oversee, manage and execute daily operations of Waste Water Technicians/ Process Lab to support Production in meeting customer product specification.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee completion of various inspection/test requirements; maintain various operation logs for evidence of compliance for both permitting and ISO14001 certification.
* Provide direction and support to Lab/WWT Technicians and Production in regards to performing routine operations and preventive maintenance for chemical process lines.
* Collect, analyze, adjust, record and report out sample information from both WWT and process tanks; observe variation in operating conditions, interprets meter / gauge readings and test results to determine load requirements.
* Maintain and tend to equipment used for both decontamination of Waste Water and Lab / Line Process control, maintain chemical inventory, and work with local Purchasing for supply re-ordering.
* Manage relationship with chemical suppliers for sample submission requirements, maintenance of process, troubleshooting support; report out all analysis and relevant test results.
* Drive problem solving and process improvement efforts to correct/prevent failures to meet both customer commitments and plant KPIs; promote and utilize 5S standards for Lab/WWT and Pretreatment areas to help improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

* 2-year degree in a manufacturing/chemistry field
* Waste Water Operator Certification is preferred
* 5+ years experience in a process/performance lab. Supervisory experience a plus.
* Understand and communicate with Regulatory Agencies (i.e. City of Lima, Ohio EPA) to ensure compliance with permit limits.
* Ability to read and understand technical bulletins, SDSs, RCRA/DOT requirements and follow chemical safety requirements.
