ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager GWS Business Ops FP&A Compiles and reviews budgets for GWS US Regional Areas using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration. Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares regular and ad-hoc reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget. Budget of regions ranges from $25 million to $250 million. Will also prepare business case analysis to compare different business scenarios using Net Present Value cash flow modeling. Extensive interface with accounts payable, knowledge of procurement procedures. Also, knowledge of USGAAP accounting principles and Pfizer accounting policies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Partner with Functional/Regional Leads to prepare/submit annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Provide commentary on fluctuations vs. prior year or prior forecast as needed. Input all information in financial consolidation system.
* Collect, analyze and report financial performance data; explain forecast/budget variances and trends on a monthly basis
* Lead accounting period close activities as directed by Finance including the preparation of accrual & reclass journal entry requests
* Prepare ad hoc analysis including comparative real estate or other business cases (Cashflow NPV, Payback, etc.)
* Ensure accurate reporting/tracking of IFM vendor performance and financials; seek/recommend opportunities for operational & financial improvement
* Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Lease Administration, Finance, Tax, and GWS leadership to coordinate communications, cyclical deliverables (i.e. budget, variance explanation), cross functional projects or resolve tactical concerns.
* Serve as subject matter expert in assisting regional personnel in purchase order creation by ensuring proper general ledger coding and expense rationale. Assist in resolving invoicing and payment issues.
* Perform financial analysis and coordinate procedural changes to drive cost reductions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong Accounting / Financial background (capital & expense) (at least 7 years)
* Proficiency with Pfizer financial systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba, Business Objects,)
* Proficient in advanced spreadsheet functions (pivot tables, report creation). Highly capable in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Teams, etc.)
* Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
* Strong planning and project management skills
* Strategic thinker with the ability to concisely articulate and justify business concepts
* Effective and proactive communicator with the ability to build consensus, influence and negotiate across multiple Pfizer stakeholder groups

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work remotely from Pfizer office locations and self-manage deliverables. While position is listed as Cambridge, MA, open to any candidates that are can reasonably access any Pfizer US location.
