LD&T Sr Associate
Main Purpose: The purpose of this role is to provide account management services for multiple brokerage customers. Such services include business development, understanding both the customers and PLCIs network, as well as customer collaboration on all logistics matters.
Scope: Management of approximately $5-10MM per yearbook of business. Will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationship with assigned top tier accounts. KPIs include managing a minimum of 15 loads per day, and hitting certain revenue and profit goals.
Accountabilities:
* Learn customers supply chain practices with strict attention to detail
* Accept, build and schedule all customer shipments correctly with all pertinent information and documentation
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts to maintain favorable service perception
* Complete ownership of accounts as necessary to support the business, can include weekends
* Align with management on weekly/by period/annual revenue targets
Scope of Interactions:
* 70% External New and existing customers and asset based carriers
* 30% Internal - Collaboration with business development, carrier ops, IT, and leadership team
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
* Prefer 1 year of transportation, supply chain, or account management experience
* Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all customers
* Demonstrated ability to anticipate customers needs and provide solutions
* Drive for Results to excel at customer service and account development
* Ability to learn key freight brokerage dynamics and industry best practices to excel at the role
* Ability to learn brokerage pricing techniques and tools to effectively quote freight
* Ability to effectively negotiate the desired outcome
* Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business start-up
* Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
* Willingness to embrace change and all other assigned duties for the greater good of the team
* Eagerness to learn and excited for the opportunity to grow their sales, logistics, and relationship development acumen
