As a reminder location free means this position can be anywhere in the US, otherwise remote. This does not mean in one of the three hubs.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THIS JOB?
The position will be responsible for establishing and developing the Food for Good program throughout the city and surrounding region. This role will be multidisciplinary including distribution of meals, managing warehouse operations, and growth of Food for Goods operations, relationships, and impact in the city.
WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
1. Loading delivery vans and driving vans to make deliveries to partners or events
2. Must be able to drive 26non DOT box trucks-no exceptions
3. Establish and nurture deep, high-trust relationships with local nonprofit organizations. Understand their objectives and develop strategy on how best to partner with them.
4. Analyze and report on key program information, budget, metrics, and insights. Conduct regular program reviews focused on data-based lessons learned and forward-looking improvements.
5. Set goals and metrics to ensure effective implementation of strategies
Additional responsibilities until program is developed and expanded:
1. Supervise all of Food for Goods daily operations in the designated region.
2. Ensure accurate, on-time deliveries of meals to community locations.
3. Manage warehouse operations and product orders.
4. Be the key contact point for customers in that region.
5. Lead the local relationship with building landlords and building maintenance.
6. Manage city fleet to include all safety and registration needs.
7. Be the safety lead for the location and ensure all safety compliance needs are met.
Qualifications/Requirements
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
* Proven track record leading a large warehouse and delivery driver staff
* Track record of delivering exceptional customer service
* Experience managing suppliers and inventory accurately and with minimal waste
* Experience with fleet and basic facilities management
* Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)
* Strong relational, collaborative, and communication skills
* Willingness to embrace ambiguity and a dynamic environment
* Positive, highly-motivated, problem-solving attitude
* Detail orientation
* Effective time management and strong prioritization skills
* Willingness to accommodate a flexible schedule that varies with seasonal duties
* Functional PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
