In North America we have over 11,000 associates and offer a wide variety of employment opportunities - from warehouse forklift operators and supervisors to accounting, customer support, engineering, transportation, and technology solutions positions.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibility:The purpose of this position is to assist in oversight of the Human Resources functions such as recruitment, training, performance management, employment law and compliance and payroll (where applicable) as well as assist in the development of best practice programs and procedures that provide support and guidance to associates and leadership teams within their assigned facilities.Essential Functions:* Assist HR leadership team in driving the continued development and improvement of the company HR strategy within their assigned location(s).* Supports the HR Manager on project plans, prep and facilitation of meetings and taking notes, and other assigned HR project deliverables.* Assist in the facilitation of the new hire on-boarding program within their assigned locations by preparing materials, conducting new hire orientation, and following-up with associates and facility leadership teams as necessary.* Inputs and maintains employee data in company Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws.* Assist with and/or maintain the facilitation of ongoing safety training and safety incentive programs (if applicable) in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policy and procedure.* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), DOL wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, Title VII and EEOC compliance* Assist in the administration of company benefit program through strategic partnership with HR Manager, facility supervisors and corporate benefits team to facilitate program options when necessary or applicable.* Work with direct HR leadership team to develop and/or modify policies and procedures as needed according to state and local laws* Maintain personnel files according to federal and state laws to include I-9 files, medical files, and regular personnel files. Ensure confidentiality of all employment records.* Participate in regularly scheduled HR Audits files.* May perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications/Additional Skills:Education, Training and Professional Experience:* Bachelor's Degree preferred. Associates' Degree, High School Diploma/GED and applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.* 1-3 Years human resources experience or a combination of human resources and other relevant professional experience in a direct customer service capacity.* Must have ability to understand and assess organizational need.* Excellent computer skills.
