The overall objective of the MCSC Project is to move 1936 cesium and strontium capsules currently in underwater storage in the Waste Encapsulation and Storage Facility (WESF) to dry storage at a new Capsule Storage Area (CSA). Selected candidate will be a key contributor to the design and construction of a dry storage system for the cesium and strontium capsules.This project will require the candidate to support the design, fabrication, testing and deployment of remote equipment/systems used to transfer and transport the cesium and strontium capsuled from WESF pool cell to the CSA. The candidate will be required to qualify as rigging engineer to support critical lifts for the project, perform weld connections reviews, equipment post installed concrete anchorage analysis and weld connections review.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Demonstrate creativity, adaptive thinking and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and/or solving complex or novel engineering problems.* Coordinate between design and construction contractors, WESF personnel (engineering, operations, and radiological control), and other Hanford contractors.* Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with the engineered design associated with mechanical installations.* Develop logic, duration and man-hour requirements for discipline's portion of the engineering schedule.* Review the schedule periodically to ensure that it is maintained and that man-hour expenditures are kept within budget limits.* Assist in development of operation and maintenance procedures* Assist in resolution of field installation issues concerning installation of equipment* Support with design review record comment resolution, disposition, and close-out* Subcontractor submittal reviews.* Facilitate resolution of subcontractor Request for Clarification and Information (RCI's).* Support development of Engineering Change Requests (ECR's), Design Change Notices (DCN's) and redlines per procedure.* Provide input to construct
