The B-2 LO Engineering Manager reports to the B-2 Chief Engineer. Duties includes: leading and directing the work of a diverse group of LO engineers in multiple locations across the US (Palmdale (Plant 42), OKC (Tinker AFB), UT (Hill AFB), Whiteman AFB, and other facilities), ensuring the B-2 weapons system LO signature is maintained and sustained throughout the life of the jet and during relevant modernization and sustainment activities and regularly interfacing with AF engineers and leadership at the System Program Office (SPO) to jointly develop LO improvements to the platform. This position will travel approximately 25% of time.

Tasks amp; Responsibilities:

* Provide technical direction and oversight for 20 LO Engineers
* Assess and Evaluate RCS test results from Range flights. Analyze test data to interpret and diagnose cause of any failure.
* Review and assess LO mitigation test results (SCI2K) of Programed Depot Maintenance (PDM) prior to range flight. Validate test results prior to Customer Acceptance Test (CAT)
* Provide oversight for Tier I amp; II testing and diagnostics to determine root cause of LO failures
* Develop and present briefings to AF customers (Lieutenant General) to improve signature performance, LO supportability or reduce LO maintenance
* Provide technical guidance and approve LO related Engineering Technical Activities (ETA) and reports for Government submittal
* Develop LO IR amp;D plans and proposals for NG investment
* Oversee and provide technical direction for B2 LO IR amp;D projects
* Ensure technical compliance for all contracted LO related studies and programs
* Review LO material processes and procedures. Review and approve of LO material electrical test plans and results.
* Lead and oversee computational electromagnetics (CEM) analysis to asses and optimize designs
* Review and approve Technical Review Board (TRB) briefings
* Regularly engage with AF counterparts at the SPO
* Review Operational Assessment (OA) analysis

Skills/Experience

* Highly experienced in reviewing and interpreting RCS test data
* RCS code capabilities and limitations (1D, 2D amp; 3D) SWITCH, GEMS, X-patch, VBROP, Mismatch, Sigma, RAM2D
* Broad understanding of LO designs from VHF Ku, both structural and parasitic
* Broad understanding of LO materials and properties (RAM/RAS, cards, ceramics, coatings and appliques)
* Experience in LO material measurement tools and techniques waveguide, Arch, Focus beam, toroid, coax,
* RCS range testing methodologies, capabilities, limitations, procedures, facilities
* Operational Assessment (OA) analysis

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from Accredited University plus 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master rsquo;s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience.
* At least 5 years of Survivability-related experience
* Manager/Lead experience providing oversight of day-to-day systems engineering amp; survivability processes
* Excellent communication, analysis, and problem solving skills
* Experience in reviewing and interpreting RCS test data
* Understanding RCS code capabilities and limitations (1D, 2D amp; 3D)- SWITCH, GEMS, X-patch, VBROP, Mismatch, Sigma, RAM2D
* Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company it meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

* MS degree in a STEM discipline from Accredited University
* 5+ years of Survivability-related experience
* Previous experience working with SPO and Government Customer Leadership
* Proven sub-IPT experience with survivability, production, and/or operations-sustainment environments
* Broad understanding of LO designs from VHF- Ku, both structural and parasitic
* Broad understanding of LO materials and properties (RAM/RAS, cards, ceramics, coatings and appliques)
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
* Highly experienced in reviewing and interpreting RCS test data
* Deep experience and understanding of RCS code capabilities and limitations (1D, 2D amp; 3D)- SWITCH, GEMS, X-patch, VBROP, Mismatch, Sigma, RAM2D
* Experience in LO material measurement tools and techniques- waveguide, Arch, Focus beam, toroid, coax,
