Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring for Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Tactical Space Division rsquo;s Global Supply Chain team. This position is located in Dulles, VA.
Job Duties:
bull; Define and develop material strategy.
bull; Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
bull; Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
bull; Analyze and aggregate supply / demand requirements.
bull; Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
bull; Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
bull; Assesse rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.
bull; Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.
bull; Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
bull; Interface with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
bull; Receive and review requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
This position may be filled at a level 2 or 3 depending on the qualificaitons listed below.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
bull; A bachelor 39;s degree from an accredited university and 3 or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; OR a master 39;s degree and 1 or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; 4 additional years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
bull; Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system
bull; MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
