Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for an experienced Space Payload Analyst / Systems Engineer to join our Payload and Ground Systems Engineering, Operations amp; Support team.

Primary duties include monitoring system performance, operation of a high-speed data processing system, regression testing of upgrades or fixes, documenting all anomalies, participating in the anomaly resolution process, documenting system logs, trending and reporting system performance, and maintaining position procedures, manuals, and handbooks. Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment with frequent customer interaction which includes presenting to the customer. Extended shift, night shift, weekend, and on-call support may occasionally be required to support program related anomalies and rehearsals. Program management and Engineering functional management are headquartered with the Space Systems Sector Payload amp; Ground Systems Division in Linthicum, Maryland. Position is located in the Herndon, VA area at a non-Northrop Grumman facility.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications below.

Qualification

This requisition maybe filled at either a principal or senior prinicipal level.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Systems Engineer:

* Bachelor of Science STEM Degree with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with Master of Science Degree).
* Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) sensor or communication technology.
* Active Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) completed within the last 12 months or active TS/SCI.

Sr Principal Systems Engineer:

* Bachelor of Science STEM Degree with 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with Master, or 3 with PhD.
* Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) sensor or communication technology.
* Active Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) completed within the last 12 months or active TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the following:

* Space RF sensor technology
* Space ground stations
* Space mission, vehicle, and/or payload operation support
* Active TS/SCI clearance
