Leading electrical ground support on all phases of space vehicle test and integration and delivery. This individual will lead EGSE efforts from initial planning stages to implementation in Integration and Test, Ambient SV testing, and TVAC Testing. The candidate will also provide oversight for the testbed effort for the program as well as any EGSE related NCTA efforts.
The candidate must be have extensive knowledge of both hardware and software utilized in Spacecraft and Test system EGSE. The candidate will have experience with test of many different spacecraft subsystems including RF COMM, CADH, EPS, ACS, Deployments, and Control systems.
The Candidate will have extensive knowledge of System Test Controller (STC) server software. The candidate shall have extensive knowledge of design and requirements for the STC. The candidate will have experience writing automated test procedures run on the STC for satellite testing.
The candidate will be responsible for top-level design of test system that will provide Integration and Test the capability to demonstrate all performance and test requirements, including electrical interface design, test set H/W design, and test set S/W design. They will be provide technical leadership to EGSE H/W and S/W engineers that development and support the electrical test system.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14+ years of software development experience OR Master rsquo;s Degree in STEM with 12+ years of software development experience OR PhD Degree in STEM with 9+ years of software development experience
* Extensive and demonstrated experience of unit and system testing
* Experience with power system test and control system test
* Experience with System Test Controller (STC) design
* Experience in LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, and LabVIEW Real-time
* Experience in software development including design, peer reviews, design documentation, and configured release
* Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret and SCI Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master rsquo;s Degree in STEM and 7 years of EGSE engineering experience
* Experience with digital interfaces, such as Serial, RS422, SPI, CAN and etc.
* Experience in satellite Comm protocols such as 1553 and Spacewire
* Experience in Analog testing including Actuator drivers.
* Experience in Spacecraft testbeds
* Active DoD and SCI clearance
