Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Contracts team in supporting the Maritime Systems amp; Integration Business Unit in Sykesville, MD. This is a full-time position estimated to require an amount of in-office time and depending on business needs, approximately 70% time working from your remote location into mid-2021; and flexibility to support our evolving business needs in late 2021 and beyond. Occasional travel to customer sites is required and estimated at 10%.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

* Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
* Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
* Develop proposal packages, in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures.
* Provide proposal support including taking an active role in creating contract proposal volumes, supporting fact finding and the negotiation process.
* Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations.
* Provide direct contract support, review contractual documents to ensure protection of company 39;s contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies.
* Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Work cooperatively with the technical staff to address customer requests.
* Maintain current and accurate contract files to facilitate timely contract close outs
* Maintain and update contract documents, files and program records and support data entry requirements for the preparation and submittal of shipping and related documentation.
* Access USG Information Systems such DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) to search and retrieve electronic solicitations.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor 39;s degree and 3 years of successful experience in Contract Administration, and/or Business Management or related field or 1 year with a Master rsquo;s Degree or J.D.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Demonstrated proficiency and strength with verbal, written, PC, presentation and communications skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Experience with problem solving, risk assessment and strategy.
* Document administration in accordance with company policies, practices and procedures.
* Ability to work independently and multi-task in cross-functional teams in a challenging environment.
* Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
* US citizenship only with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

* Recent experience as a career-oriented Contracts Professional in the defense industry
* Proficiency and experience supporting sole source and competitive acquisitions
* Demonstrated ability to determine priorities and allocate time and resources effectively
* Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Business Systems (ERP, SAP) policies and practices
* Planning/Organization with a demonstrated ability to establish a systematic course of action to ensure accomplishment of a specific objective.
