Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Principal/Sr Principal AVE Test/Real-Time Simulation SW Developer. This position will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position will ultimately be located in Roy, UT as of January 1, 2022. In the interim the position will be performed primarily from El Segundo, CA. Specific arrangements relative to relocation to be determined based on the candidate location. This position may filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below. What you'll get to do:
The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN amp;C) IPT seeks a real-time simulation developer to join our diverse team. The real-time simulation models vehicle dynamics and hosts embedded software in a hardware-in-the-loop laboratory setting. The engineer should have background in aerospace vehicle dynamics simulation modeling, control systems, software, or laboratory simulation. Responsibilities include developing, testing, and integrating fidelity enhancements to GN amp;C analysts simulations for real-time system implementation. Additionally, this effort includes enhancing and maintaining various tools that generate interface software, build command inputs, post-process recorded output, and interface the simulation to operator graphical visualization tools, as well as, maintain a database of all command and telemetry items and a requirements specification/ICD for the real-time recording software.
Seeking an engineer with a strong software background to support development of Real-time simulators for HWIL/Testbeds/SILs.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Youll bring these qualifications:

This position may be filled at a Principal Software Engineer level or Sr. Principal Software Engineer level

* This position requires the following education and related experience:

* Principal level: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; Master's degree with 3 years; or a PhD with 0 years

* Sr. Principal level: Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience; Master's degree with 3 years; or a PhD with 4 years

* Experience is required with at least one of the following:

* Developing, testing, and integrating real-time embedded software and/or associated software tools

* Implementing and testing mathematical behavioral models of dynamic systems and/or electronics hardware

* U.S. Citizenship and hold an Active DOD Secret Clearance awarded within 6 years, and the ability to obtain SAP clearance

These qualifications would be nice to have:

* Familiarity with guidance, navigation, and control system concepts

* Experience working in an Agile team
