DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for processing and expediting purchase orders; maximizes the production inventory by monitoring internal usage and reporting quality levels of inventory at all phases of the inventory pipeline to ensure consistent quality specifications; maintains centralized relational database of all production color formula (ex. custom concentrates formulas); maintains and troubleshoots production specific technical hardware and software required in the manufacturing process. Works under regular supervision and to include a review of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process requisitions for Purchase Orders, which would include entry into SAP systems, in keeping with Corporate Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
* Reconcile, audit, verify and correct vendor deliveries for accounting, purchasing and inventory control purposes.
* Advise corporate purchasing and local management of unresolved or potential material shortages that impact production plans.
* Processes inventory that has been designated as damaged, defective, or incorrect according to established internal quality and process guidelines.
* Identifies inventory database errors and follows up to ensure correction; takes corrective action to solve the inventory accuracy problems when needed. Completes month end inventory by reconciling beginning inventory, purchases, and ending inventory to actual usage per component.
* Prepares EOQ reports daily, maintains inventory levels on all Raw material for department and maintains external concentrates usage and releases needed. Auditing Monthly usage and statistical information; resolving major variances each month.
* Meet internal needs by working within department to solve quality problems, document quality specifications internally and external vendors products and capabilities. Document laboratory and production trails in relational database to improve Companys raw material product offerings.
* Assist in resolving production and lab issues, minimizes loss, downtime, and inconsistency of products by documenting lab quality assurance metrics, feedback from production, and recording quality control tests performed on finished samples.
* Drive and maintain internal Safety programs, Quality, and Productivity, documenting departmental Procedures and Safety requirements, test efficiency and accuracy; improve overall material product quality by aiding management in the introduction and promotion of experimental technologies and/or new production processes to expand current testing capabilities by utilizing automation techniques to increase efficiency with hardware and software upgrades.
* Maintain all relevant systems databases. Generate, analyze and distribute monthly reports.
* Maintain department internal Safety programs, operating procedures, and proactively identifies any unsafe working conditions to management for resolution.
* Ensures compliance to all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines and practices to include wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment, using the appropriate tools and equipment, and exercising the required safety behaviors for the task at hand.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred with a minimum of two years of related manufacturing process knowledge/experience in related fields of job description. Associates Degree in business a preferred plus. Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
* Successful completion of all Mohawk health and environmental safety training.
* Required use of personal computer and other department specific database systems or software programs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

* Working primarily in an office environment.
* May also spend part of time on manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels which will require the use of personal protective equipment including (but not limited to) hearing protection and safety shoes.
* May be required to travel locally to manufacturing facilities (> 10%)
