District Overview

Location

This position is based out of our Energy Corridor Office in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

Performs basic calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer. Seeks out more experienced engineer for guidance and expertise.
Able to identify problems and their level of complexity.
Has solid foundation of understanding and ability to use technical knowledge.
Reviews P&IDs and mechanical equipment lists to develop electrical load lists and one line diagrams
Expand knowledge through training and work experience.
Learn codes and standards to complete assignments.
Perform non-routine technical assignments of limited scope.
Perform tasks according to company procedure industry codes and regulations.
Open to new ways of doing things and learning from those around them.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering minimum required.
0-2 years' minimum relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry.
Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well.
Receives direction from more experienced engineer.
Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner.
Participates on teams effectively. Accepts direction from the team. Individually contributes to success of the team.
Develops cooperative working relationships and open communication within and across groups, to work towards solutions that benefit all involved parties. Seeks expertise, advice and perspectives from a variety of sources.
Consults with senior team members to receive direction for internal customers.
Able to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines under supervision.
