Responsibilities:

Operation of boilers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps and auxiliary equipment. Observes, interprets and records readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of boiler, boiler subsystems and other utility systems operations both on-site and remote. Adjusts controls to insure safe and efficient boiler operation and to meet demands for steam or high-temperature water. Keeps all main and auxiliary machinery, and equipment of the system in good working order. Performs Operator Maintenance to include lubricating, and emergency/minor repairs and assists Maintenance personnel during facility outages to include repairs to boiler room equipment, including pumps valves, piping and other auxiliary equipment.

Performs a variety of administrative duties such as typing, filing and generating reports, assisting with the development of SOP's, drawings, and ISO documents.

May be required to work on an off-shift or rotating shift environment to include weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required. ASOPE or NUILPE Operating Engineer's license is required or 8 years work experience plus an apprenticeship or equivalent training period in a designated field, craft, or trade that can be documented by a certificate or diploma form a reputable organization, military, school or trade school program.

Work Environment

Test Environment- May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals and industrial facilities. (90%)

Travel between various facilities and during test operations may be required and may bring exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operation. (10%)

Physical Requirements

Visual and physical (hands on) contact of test related systems, hardware, articles.

Requires climbing, crawling, bending, and body mobility. (30%)

Ability to distinguish basic colors. (10%) Corrected vision (100%) Hearing (100%)

Lifting, carrying, exerting pressure up to 45 lbs. (10%)

Your SPA is a Company provided tool to be used for the prevention of incidents, accidents, and injuries; as such, it is the most important tool that you are required to use. A valid driver's license is required
